A NEW AGREEMENT

Did you know we establish agreements with our words? The spirit of fear oppresses God’s people because somewhere we came into agreement with fear, verbally. This access can come through spoken words ("I’m scared," "My anxiety," “I’m afraid to…), traumatic experiences, generational bloodlines, or wrong beliefs about fear (e.g., "fear is healthy").

Today, we break up with fear and establish a new agreement with heaven. We renounce fear, refusing to recognize it as ours. We disown it, release it, and abandon it permanently.

Agreements are also made and broken through words. Matthew 16:19 (NLT) says, “And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.” You have authority over fear; use your words and mix them with faith!

I remember the exact day fear left me. I was led in a precise prayer that changed everything in my life. I renounced fear and agreed with God’s word concerning me. I decided to allow God to love me through my fear and my trauma. I had suffered long enough. Yep, I hated fear, and I was done with the toxic relationship I had developed with it. The prayer was simple, but it was full of faith! We are going to pray a similar prayer today.

First, let’s pray this prayer, solidifying our relationship with Christ and giving Him lordship over our lives.

LORDSHIP PRAYER:
Father, today I confess with my mouth and believe in my heart that You raised Jesus Christ from the dead for my sins. He is the Son of God. I make You Lord over my mouth, thoughts, actions, heart, decisions, and future. I receive this gift of salvation. In Jesus' name, amen.

Now, pray this renouncement prayer by faith and walk in your freedom!

RENOUNCEMENT PRAYER:
Father, today I renounce the spirit of fear. I renounce the fear of rejection, man, the unknown, and failure. I renounce the fear of success, shame, disappointment, and trusting You. I renounce the fear of death, the night, new places, new people, and starting over. I renounce fear of the news and wars. I renounce fear of loneliness, intimidation, mistreatment, and never finding love. You are God. Your perfect love casts out all fear. I am Yours, and I agree with Your Word. Thank You for setting me free. I receive my freedom! In Jesus’ name, amen.
