Who Am I?

God is light, and he illuminates all things. He embodies every characteristic of light. He brings clarity, warmth, guidance, and discernment to our lives. He offers us his perspective, and he allows us to see things as they really are. As he shines his truth on our lives, we learn to walk in his ways and embrace the freedom found in his presence.

When we walk in God’s light, he calls us out of confusion, shame, and insecurity and invites us to be rooted in truth. Our value is not found in what we can offer him. Our worth is not decided by our talents, performance, or ability to please him. Instead, our identity comes from who he created us to be. We are his beloved children, and he loves us simply because we are his. We don’t have to do anything to earn his love, and we can rest in the strength of his mercy.

Consider the powerful truth that God chose you to be his before the foundations of the world were created. Pause and let that reality sink in. God’s love defined who you were before you were even born. Reflect on how that makes you feel. Your true identity is found in how God sees you. Your opinions of yourself are far less important than you may think.
