Mid-Life Reflection

Time is fickle and fleeting. One moment we are young and full of dreams, and before we know it we approach middle age wondering how we got there. The older we get, the more rapidly time seems to pass. It seems to slip through our fingers no matter how much we try to slow it down. We know that life is short, but Scripture reminds us that each day is filled with opportunities to take advantage of the time we have. Psalm 90 holds an invitation to live deliberately and with purpose.

Being intentional with our values, goals, and relationships helps us use our time wisely. If we shape our lives around God’s purposes, our time will never be wasted. If we commit our ways to him and allow him to transform our hearts, he will help us make each moment count. Even ordinary and mundane moments are made holy when our goal is to honor and glorify him.

God is so gracious. He knows what you need, and he provides for you. You don’t have to manage your time alone, and you don’t have to feel frantic about making the most of it. The call to intentionality is not a burden; it’s an invitation that comes with the promise of God’s faithfulness and companionship. As you partner with his purposes, he blesses the work of your hands. As you seek to honor him, he promises to never leave or forsake you.

Today, ask God to help you manage your time well. Accept his leadership and trust that he knows best. Each moment of your life is a gift from him. Thank him for the time he’s given you and remember that he is always with you. You may not know the number of your days, but you can certainly approach each one with intention and wisdom.
