Belonging

No matter how wonderful our friends and family are, God understands us like no one else can. He is familiar with every aspect of our frame. He sees our outward actions, and he knows why we behave like we do. He sees into our hearts, and he knows our true intentions and motivations. He sees us in our weakness, and he understands our struggles. He knows the pain that we carry even when no one else sees it.

God sees us fully, and he loves us completely. He calls us by name, and we are his. We are never alone, and he has invited us to have a relationship with him. He offers us joy, peace, safety, and a sense of belonging. He is an attentive Father and faithful friend. He offers us the comfort of his embrace, and he promises to never abandon us.

God’s mindfulness of us is a reason to praise him. We are filled with thanksgiving as his love transforms our hearts. He faithfully provides for us, and we respond with heartfelt worship. We offer him our lives out of gratitude because he has given us everything we need. Our devotion to him is not based on obligation, but it is an act of worship to the one who has set us free.

Today, remember that God is aware of you. He sees you, and he loves you. He cares about you and the details of your life. Run into the arms of your loving Father. You are a part of his family, and he will never abandon you. Let his love give you courage and let your song be the anthem of the redeemed. Trust him to guide you into his goodness. He will take care of you. Listen and you will hear him calling out to you.
