WHERE DID EVERYBODY GO?

The days immediately following a death are often overflowing with decisions, houseguests, flowers, and meals being delivered. All the activity can serve as a welcome distraction from the reality of what has happened.

But, a few weeks down the road, the flowers have all faded and everyone seems to have vanished. Countless people may have said, "call if you need anything," but there was nothing you really needed. Now it would be nice for the phone to ring or for someone to stop by.

Would you consider letting someone know when you're feeling lonely? Maybe you could ask a neighbor to go for a walk or to stop by for coffee.

Reflect: If you're feeling isolated, ask the Lord for His help. He will never leave you; and He can give you courage to reach out to a friend when you need companionship.
