Father’s Love: 30 Days of Discovering God as Fatherنموونە

Day 20 – A Promise Keeper
Daddy keeps His promises. Say that to yourself again and again. Scripture is filled with thousands of promises from God, many written for your life and specific situations. But do you know them? Hosea 4:6 warns people get destroyed when they lack knowledge. One of Satan’s greatest tactics is distraction; keeping God’s children from reading the word and discovering the promises, power, and prophecies God has spoken over them.
Numbers 23:19 (ESV) tells us that, “God is not a man that he should lie, neither the son of a man that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?”
God keeps His promises, but we must understand—they are conditional. His love is unconditional, but His promises are not. Think about it: if a child disrespected, disobeyed, or mistreated you or others, would you still give them everything they asked for just because they’re your child? Of course not. In the same way, we reap the benefits of God’s promises through obedience to His word.
2 Corinthians 1:20 (NLT)says, “For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.” Your Father’s promises anchor you in hope and certainty.
Write down the different areas of your life, for example, family, finances, children, dreams, goals, etc. and then find one to two scriptural promises of what God has said about each area. Pray these daily until those promises comes to pass.
Read, internalize, and pray each scripture to deepen your faith.
