Addiction Rewritten: Addiction Takes, God Providesنموونە

When addiction triggers regret, God provides redemption.
Think of regret as a side effect of addiction. While addiction offers the illusion of relief, it doesn’t make you forget things you aren’t proud of or erase the emotions that are overwhelming your senses. Instead of comfort, addiction often fills you with more regret. More shame. More memories you wish you could erase. And the more you use substances to try to run from it, the more problems it creates.
True peace doesn’t come from numbing what’s broken. It comes from healing it. That’s what Jesus offers: redemption. Those who are in Jesus are forgiven and made new. The call of the gospel is to repent of your sins in this world and believe in Christ for your salvation. Your story doesn’t end with what you’ve done — it begins with the work He does in you.
Prayer
Jesus, thank you. Because of You, I can let go of my regrets. I can accept God’s grace because You accepted His wrath. Today, help me accept forgiveness from others and forgive myself for my past. Lead me forward and use me as a child of God. Amen.
