Day 30: Wisdom Gained from the Valleys of Life

Deuteronomy 29:29 (NIV) says, "The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law."

As we conclude this devotional, my prayer is that you have gained the strength and received God's love and comfort. Remember that valleys are ripe for gaining wisdom. It is in those moments when we feel that the world has turned against us, when we feel alone and are isolated, that we can truly hear from God.

Then, it is essential to apply the lessons and knowledge gained from the valley to the next season of life. My prayer for you is that you are "blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out" as it says in Deuteronomy 28:6-7 (NIV). May you know, as I have shared before, that you are going through this situation, but it is not your final destination.

Prayer:

God, I can not escape You. Whether I am at my lowest place or my highest peak, you are there. Thank you for being wonderful no matter where I am. I pray that I glean from all you have shown me. Empower me to walk in your love and grow in strength. Reveal the doors you are opening so that at the right time, I can comfort and strengthen others through the work you are doing in my life. Thank You for being merciful, loving, gracious, and faithful. In the Name of Jesus. Amen.
