Love one another. Wow, that’s a tall order on any given day, but especially during the holidays when schedules are busy, tensions run high, and stores and homes are crowded with more people than usual! Here’s the truth friend: it is impossible to love one another on our own strength. Since God is love, and our ability to love comes from Him, we must FIRST be transformed by His love before we’ll ever be able to love others well. This season – remember the cross and God’s great love for you, stay in close communion with Him and His Word, and pray for the Holy Spirit to fill you with God’s generous, sacrificial love for people. Then intentionally give the BEST gift this Christmas ~ the gift of loving and serving others like Jesus, so that they too can know the REAL reason we celebrate the season.
