FEARLESS - Boldly Pursuing Jesus And His MissionSample

The hardest part of trusting God is waiting on the promise. Abraham had to wait for the promise to come true. In fact, he wouldn’t have his son Isaac until he was 100 years old! Abraham received the promise when he was 75 – that’s 25 years of waiting!
But before Isaac came, Abraham and Sarah tried to take matters into their own hands. Sarah encouraged her husband, Abraham, to sleep with her servant girl in order to get this nation-building thing off the ground. Abraham agreed. How do you think that turned out for him?
Taking matters into our own hands while we wait on God to move leads to problems. Like Abraham, we weren’t meant to make the promise happen on our own. We’re encouraged to trust, have faith, and to wait on God. He always comes through.
Where do you need to wait patiently on God?

About this Plan

God has given His people a purpose: to connect everyone to Jesus and his mission. In order to pursue the mission of Jesus, we cannot have a faith that is timid or cowardly. As we spend time looking at the life of Abraham, a man of courageous faith and sacrificial obedience, we will be challenged to be FEARLESS for the mission of Jesus.
