I Have Questions: Is Vaping Okay?

DAY 4 OF 5

Imagine for a minute that someone gave you $100. What would you do with it?

Would you buy 100 things on the McDonald’s dollar menu? Would you buy a new video game? Would you buy something for a friend? You could do lots of things with $100.

Now, think about how much more you could do with a pile of gold and what it’s worth! Gold and silver could give you nearly limitless options to buy things or do things for yourself and for others. In today’s verse, Solomon tells us that wisdom is still even more valuable than silver and gold. Check it out:

How much better to get wisdom than gold, to get insight rather than silver! (Proverbs 16:16 NIV).

Wait, really? Having access to wisdom is more valuable than silver and gold?

If you think about it, it’s true. Money is good for buying things, but those things are TEMPORARY. But wisdom? Wisdom can make your friendships, family relationships, and future plans better over the LONG RUN.

Wisdom builds things that last! That’s the real power and potential of wisdom. Isn’t it cool to know that God has given all of us something more valuable than silver or gold? He has given us wisdom.

Is there a friend in your life right now who could use some encouragement, wisdom, or insight? Ask God for the courage to reach out to share some of His wisdom with that friend today.
