I Have Questions: Is Vaping Okay?Sample

Have you ever been in a situation where you felt like all eyes were on you? Maybe you did something great on the field and a whole crowd of people saw it. Or maybe at a family gathering you were the center of attention because you made the honor roll or won an award. Believe it or not, being a wise person can actually have the same effect. When you make wise decisions, people will notice.
And while that may be an intimidating thought at first, when you think about it, it’s actually kind of cool. Because the truth is, eventually people are going to notice you for something. So wouldn’t you rather it be for something worthwhile?
When everyone at lunch is gossiping about him or her, will you be noticed for joining in or choosing not to participate? When everyone is making fun of that one kid, will you be noticed for making the best joke or saying something to put a stop to it? Today’s verse is a reminder that when we choose to be wise, we can actually SHINE—not in a “just scored the winning goal” kind of way, but in a “just made the situation better” kind of way. Check it out:
“Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever” (Daniel 12:3 NIV).
You see, making wise decisions isn’t just about being a “good Christian.” It’s about shining a light that makes us better, makes others better, and makes situations better. Is there a situation that you need to shine light into this week?Be brave and shine some wisdom into that area. You’ll never regret doing the right thing—even when it’s hard.
