Walking With JesusSample

Victory Over Temptation and Sin
Self-discovery:
- Does God tempt us? (James 1:13-15)
- Do you think you are being tempted more than other people? (1 Corinthians 10:13)
- God calls us to live a life of purity and holiness (2 Corinthians 7: 1; 1 Thessalonians 4:3-8; 2 Timothy 2:22)
- How can we overcome temptation? (Hebrews 2:18; Hebrews 4:15)
Reflection questions (write your answers in a journal):
- When you are tempted, do you feel guilty and run away from God?
Action:
Share with your small group the greatest temptations that you are struggling with at the moment and write them in your journal.
Testimony:
Although I knew I was a child of God, I never thought that God would actually want to use me. I had many excuses and gave God many reasons why he should rather use someone else. I only realised later in my life that God wants to use everyone and that He has called every one of us to play a specific role in His purpose. Scripture says that signs and wonders will follow those who believe, not that it will follow the most skilled or anointed people. Do you believe?
