Kong Hee: Found In The Arms Of God

DAY 2 OF 5

Entering God’s Presence

The famous preacher Samuel Chadwick once called prayer “the acid test of your devotion.” He was essentially saying that you can know how devoted you are to God by the quality of your prayer life. Without prayer, you can’t connect with your Heavenly Father.

The Bible says in Psalm 95:2, “Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving ...” It’s in thankful prayer that you enter God’s presence, seeking Him, giving Him the glory and praise for His grace in your life. That’s how you connect with God.

At its very core, prayer is the humbling of your soul to surrender to God’s will. That’s why prayer and fasting so often go together. They represent a combination of humbling both the body and the soul in order to enter God’s presence and to seek out His will for you.

How passionately you humble yourself and pray says a lot about your relationship with our Father in heaven. So give yourself to Him in prayer today. Seek His will for you and surrender your life for His glory!

Prayer for the day:

Surrender yourself in prayer today by asking God to reveal His will to you. Then pray for Him to give you the strength to follow it!

About this Plan

Kong Hee: Found In The Arms Of God

Depression is terrible experience—it feels like you are dropping down a dark, bottomless hole … with no hope in sight. But one of the greatest promises we have in the Bible is that He will “never leave you nor forsake you” (Heb. 13:5). And it’s through prayer that this promise is realized because prayer draws us close to Jesus Christ and ushers us into God’s very presence. So stay close to God in prayer always, knowing that He is aware of your heart’s deepest cry!
