GO2020 | ENGAGE: January Week 2 - WORDSample

January 24
Read
1 John 1:1-4
Reflect
Jesus gave us the word of life: the eternal, abiding kind of life that starts now. Though our lives often change, though we often don’t have control over our circumstances, we can always enjoy spending time with our Lord. Take time to learn who he is, listen to him speak, pour your heart out to him, and praise him. That fellowship is what Jesus purchased for you at great cost. Enjoy him!
Engage
Read today’s Scripture passage. Say or write it out in your own words, considering the following questions.
· What does it say about God?
· What does it say about us?
· Is there a promise to trust?
· Is there a command to obey?
· How will I apply this Scripture to my life?
· Who will I show that I care by sharing this truth?
Memorize
Now read this week’s memory verse, John 17:3. Spend a few minutes working to memorize it.

About this Plan

What is the good news? Jesus offered his followers a full and fulfilling life, one that would not only last into eternity, but have eternal significance. He called it an “abundant” life, and he claimed that he was the only source of that life.
