GO2020 | ENGAGE: March Week 1 — CARESample
March 2—Because God Cares
Read
John 3:16; 1 Timothy 2:3-4
Reflect
We care because God cares. In fact, God cared enough to send his own Son to die on the cross for our sin. People matter deeply to God. We are made in his likeness and image, and he desires that all come to salvation. As we mature as Christians, we should take on the heart of God and care deeply for the welfare of others, especially as it relates to their eternal welfare or destiny.
Engage
Read today’s Scripture passages. Say or write them out in your own words, considering the following questions:
· What do they say about God?
· What do they say about us?
· Is there a promise to trust?
· Is there a command to obey?
· How will I apply these Scriptures to my life?
· Who will I show that I care by sharing this truth?
Memorize
Now read this week’s memory verse, John 13:15. Spend a few minutes beginning to memorize it.

About this Plan
What have Christians done for the world over the past two millennia? Wherever Christ-followers have gone, the sick have been healed, the poor have been aided, and the disenfranchised have been educated. There have been thousands of hospitals, orphanages, and schools established by Christians over the centuries, and indeed there has been no greater force for good in history than the Spirit-empowered church.
