GO2020 | ENGAGE: March Week 1 — CARESample
March 7—Because it Is the Center of Our Calling
Read
Galatians 6:2; Romans 13:8-9
Reflect
We are called to be “burden bearers.” How? By loving our neighbors and pouring out ourselves for them. Our love for Christ should result in an outpouring of love for those around us. Can you sum up our calling in this world, in a few words? It is to love people as Christ loves them. While we can show that love in many ways, the greatest demonstration is to lead them to know the giver of all love, Jesus Christ.
Engage
Read today’s Scripture passages. Say or write them out in your own words, considering the following questions:
· What do they say about God?
· What do they say about us?
· Is there a promise to trust?
· Is there a command to obey?
· How will I apply these Scriptures to my life?
· Who will I show that I care by sharing this truth?
Memorize
Now read this week’s memory verse, John 13:15. Spend a few minutes committing it to memory.

About this Plan
What have Christians done for the world over the past two millennia? Wherever Christ-followers have gone, the sick have been healed, the poor have been aided, and the disenfranchised have been educated. There have been thousands of hospitals, orphanages, and schools established by Christians over the centuries, and indeed there has been no greater force for good in history than the Spirit-empowered church.
