GO2020 | ENGAGE: March Week 1 — CARESample
March 6—We Will Reap a Reward
Read
Matthew 6:19-21; Mark 10:29-30
Reflect
Jim Elliot, the missionary martyr, said, “He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose.” Jesus calls his followers to come and die, so that they may truly live. We serve God with the eyes of faith, believing that God is the rewarder of those who love him. We serve in hope, because we may not see the fullness of our reward here on earth, but we will see it in the end. Our greatest reward will be to spend eternity with Christ our Savior.
Engage
Read today’s Scripture passages. Say or write them out in your own words, considering the following questions.
· What do they say about God?
· What do they say about us?
· Is there a promise to trust?
· Is there a command to obey?
· How will I apply these Scriptures to my life?
· Who will I show that I care by sharing this truth?
Memorize
Now read this week’s memory verse, John 13:15. Spend a few minutes working to memorize it.

About this Plan
What have Christians done for the world over the past two millennia? Wherever Christ-followers have gone, the sick have been healed, the poor have been aided, and the disenfranchised have been educated. There have been thousands of hospitals, orphanages, and schools established by Christians over the centuries, and indeed there has been no greater force for good in history than the Spirit-empowered church.
