March 14—We Conform to Christ’s Image

Reflect

Our life in Christ on earth is a process of being transformed and becoming more and more like Jesus. This transformation does not happen while we remain static, but as daily we are more engaged with the Spirit of the Lord who takes us from one degree of glory (sanctification) to another. It is so important to do all the “normal” Christian things: pray, read the Word, worship, etc., however these should also produce an overflow in our lives in which we are loving and serving and caring for others. We may not see it in ourselves, but as the Spirit works in us, we will become more Christlike, and one day we shall be like him, because we will see him as he is.

Engage

Read today’s Scripture passages. Say or write them out in your own words, considering the following questions:

· What do they say about God?

· What do they say about us?

· Is there a promise to trust?

· Is there a command to obey?

· How will I apply these Scriptures to my life?

· Who will I show that I care by sharing these truths?

Memorize

Now read this week’s memory verse, Romans 12:15. Spend a few minutes committing it to memory.
