Bible 2020 The Mission to the WorldSample

The Mission to the World Day 2 of 20
Is our faith in Christ alive or dead? This is the challenge that James lays before us. Living faith, says James, is accompanied by action – “deeds”. It is not enough to say we believe: our faith must be active. It is in what we do that we demonstrate what we believe. Jesus’ ministry is our clear example: he spoke the truth about God to people, but also brought healing and transformation to people in need. We, as the church, are called to do the same: showing what we believe about God by what we do.

About this Plan

Beginning with God’s covenants with Noah, Abram and David, these readings explore God’s ongoing mission to restore his broken creation, drawing people back to himself. God’s mission finds its fulfillment in the person and work of Jesus Christ, a mission which the church continues today. Be part of a global movement changing the world around you by reading the Bible aloud for one minute every day.
