Bible 2020 The Mission to the WorldSample

The Mission to the World Day 5 of 20
In the flood there is terrible judgement on human sin. But there is also great salvation, as God rescues Noah, his family, the birds, the livestock and wild animals from the flood. The first covenant recorded in scripture involves God binding himself for all time from ever destroying the earth by flood again. We see here God’s great desire to save life, not destroy it. How good to know that though destruction and chaos so often surrounds us, God is present and working amidst it all, through Christ, to bring salvation.

About this Plan

Beginning with God’s covenants with Noah, Abram and David, these readings explore God’s ongoing mission to restore his broken creation, drawing people back to himself. God’s mission finds its fulfillment in the person and work of Jesus Christ, a mission which the church continues today. Be part of a global movement changing the world around you by reading the Bible aloud for one minute every day.
