Live Well In Covid Times Sample

Acts 27:23-25 ESV

For this very night there stood before me and angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I worship, and he said, “Do not be afraid, Paul, you must stand before Caesar. And behold, God has granted you all those who sail with you.“ So take heart, men, for I have faith in God that it will be exactly as I have been told. 

When Paul was being taken as a prisoner to Rome to stand before Caesar, the ship he was on encountered a violent storm. They had no control of the ship but were driven along by the wind. After days of darkness, uncertainties and not seeing the sun, all their hope was gone .

Yet Paul had hope. Why? Because he had an encounter with God! Not in a cozy room with worship music in the background. 

But in an atmosphere of terror, cries of hopelessness and real fear, Paul could hear God!

And that one word from the throne of grace changes us. Makes us different from the rest. 

God speaks in many different ways. Here, He sent an angel to bring His word to Paul. Paul understood that this storm will not be the end of him. He believed God and encouraged others. 

“The God to whom I belong “ - what a beautiful line. Do you know that you belong to God? You are not your own, but His. You are His responsibility. 

If this storm be the end, so be it! 

If this storm is not the end, so be it! 

I know - the God to whom I belong, and whom I worship.

But I have no regrets. I couldn’t be more sure of my ground - the One I’ve trusted in can take care of what He’s trusted me to do right to the end. 

Pray: 

* Thank the Lord that He wants to speak to you even in the middle of this storm.

* Thank the Lord that you are not alone but you belong to Him.

* Pray for your city to be safe and delivered from all infections.
