River Valley Church SOAP - Part 11Sample

Sapphira and Ananias offer the apostles a sum of money that they had received from selling their land. These two individuals decided to donate just a portion of the money and retain some for themselves without telling anybody. However, when Ananias brought the donation to the apostles, he told them that they were receiving all of the profit from the transaction. Peter had confronted Ananias and declared that he had lied to God.
As the number of disciples increased, a conflict began between the Hellenistic Jews and the Hebraic Jews. The former group thought that their widows were being treated unfairly because they were not receiving the same amount of food as other widows.
Today let's pray for the Christian minority among the Somali people. Many have become martyrs for their faith, and the rest face a difficult future filled with persecution. Let's pray that they would be filled with joy in the Lord, and that they would have courage to continue on amidst extremely intense persecution.
