Walking With Jesus Sample

The Trial Within
Toady we will walk with Jesus as He stands before Pilate. We all have that internal struggle to make decisions for ourselves and our family. The struggle to have honor and to do what is right. In today’s passage Pilate is having this same struggle. He knows what is right but has enormous pressure from other influences. They want him to crucify Jesus. He speaks to Jesus directly and finds no fault in Him. Despite having a direct line to Jesus, Pilate succumbed to the crowd and religious leaders.
This is often true in our lives. We can speak to Jesus whenever we please but we often defer to what peers or others think. We need to remain grounded to Jesus and when the other voices creep in, we must focus on the one that matters most: Jesus.
Today’s Scripture: Luke 23:1-24
Pray: Jesus, give me the courage to pick up the cross and follow you.
Daily Challenge: Remind yourself of this truth: I'd rather be remembered for standing up than forgotten for blending in.
