Walking With Jesus Sample

During Jesus’ time on earth, the Jewish temple really was the center of Jewish life. In the temple there was a place called the Holy of Holies which was the earthly dwelling place of God’s presence. The Holy of Holies was separated by a veil which signified that man was separated from God because of sin. Only the High Priest could enter the Holy of Holies once per year to make atonement for the sins of the people.
Listen, we aren’t talking about a small little veil either. Scholars believe that the veil was about 60 feet high and was about 4 inches thick. Scripture says when Jesus gave up His spirit the veil was torn from top to bottom. Isn’t that amazing? I truly hope you see the significance of this moment. This signified that no longer was there separation between God and man. Jesus died, He tore the veil, He made a way for you and me.
Congratulations on walking with Jesus for these 40 days! Our prayer is that you were able to gain a new appreciation for what Jesus did for us on the cross. Guess what? Sunday is coming!!! I hope you'll find a place to worship on Easter and celebrate that Jesus is alive!
Today’s Scripture: Mark 15:33-41 and Mark 15:35-38
Pray. Ask God to reveal to you His truths as you read His Word. Don’t skip this important step.
Daily Challenge: Listen to the song At the Cross by Hillsong Worship. I hope you’ll never see the veil the same again.
