The Real Deal

It’s so amazing to see how those in scripture react to Jesus. Different reactions and perception were present during the crucifixion. We’ve covered the soldiers and the mockers but in Mark 15 verse 40 it speaks of His supporters weeping over Jesus’s pain and suffering. They knew He was the real deal. Today’s text also speaks to the power of Jesus’s accomplishment on the cross. In verse 39 the centurion was impressed and convinced that Jesus was the real deal. The power of God is so strong and it draws people in. When someone experiences God in an authentic way, they have no choice but to, like the centurion, acknowledge that Jesus is the real deal.
