New to Faith Sample

No shortcuts
If I had the choice between driving or flying to a different city. I'd 100% choose flying. Don't get me wrong, I love travelling, but there is something about arriving at the destination quickly that I love. No matter what the journey, I often find myself trying to find the quickest or shortest route there.
When you talk to a person who is new to their faith, a common thought they have is that change happens immediately. Although that can be a reality for some, what I’ve seen more often is a change that happens over time. You see, it's on the journey where you learn how to overcome problems, build resilience and learn to trust [1 Cor 15:58]. In the process of becoming like Jesus, you must align and submit your understanding of pace to Jesus' concept of pace. Although there are rapid moments of growth. Most growth happens daily through consistency; reading your Bible, praying and doing life with other followers of Jesus. It might seem slow and that nothing is changing but things are! Just stay faithful and watch as God transforms your life [Eph 3:20].
PRAYER
Jesus, thank You that You want to make me more like You. Help me in trusting Your process and timing. When I feel disheartened about my progress, remind me that I am doing better than I believe I am. In Jesus’ name, Amen
