We Are Jesus’ Family
Mark 3:35
My true brother and sister and mother are those who do what God wants.
A family is a unit of very closely related people. It usually consists of parents, brothers, sisters, grandparents, who are blood related.
However, Jesus taught another fascinating thing again! He didn’t limit the meaning of “family” only to His own blood family. Jesus says that His true brother and sister and mother are those who do what God wants.
As long as we obey God’s word and have Jesus in our heart, we are called God’s beloved children. It is God’s assurance that even though there are times when a misunderstanding or disagreement happens between His people, we are all connected to one another. We are all called Jesus' family. It means we are never alone. What a glorious hopeful way to live!
Prayer
Dear Jesus, I thank You for my family at home and for my family in You. I praise You for the wonderful revelation. Amen!
