Moments for Mums: IdentitySample
What a huge difference between being a slave and being a friend! We don’t need a personal experience of being a slave to know this.
I have a few really good friends in my life. We confide in each other. Time is spent together. Some times are deep and meaningful while others are fun or even quiet. Who I am friends with influences who I am and how I see myself.
I am a friend of Jesus. We are in no way equal and yet he is my friend. This changes how I see myself. I am someone Jesus loves and wants to spend time with. It influences my choices. It gives me a sense of security in who I am.
That friendship is available to you, too.
Question
What is one thing you can do today to build that friendship with Jesus?
Prayer
Jesus, I am overwhelmed by your love for me and the offer of being your friend. Help me to see myself as you see me. Amen
Scripture
