Today we’re going to see how self-doubt can keep you from your purpose.

Sometimes, when you don’t feel good about yourself, it can be easy to feel separated from God or that He can’t or won’t love you because of who you are or what you’ve done. This feeling can make it difficult to believe you have a purpose at all, let alone understand what it is or how to serve it in day-to-day life.

God is very clear on this matter. In Romans 8:37-39, Paul says you can never be separated from His love, not by demons or angels or death or any powers whatsoever. No matter what the obstacle or fear, you are “more than a conqueror” when you call on God’s love – nothing, not even self-doubt, can stand in your way because God is right there fighting alongside you.

God’s love for you does not depend on how you see yourself or your performance as a person. You are His child, created to serve His purpose. How could anything you ever do diminish a love that great? He loved you so much; He sacrificed His own Son so you could have everlasting life. (John 3:16) That’s the true power of God’s love for you, the power you can tap to fulfill His purpose for your life.

Don’t let self-doubt get in the way of God’s love for you. Open your heart to His love and let it light the fire of His purpose within you.
