His blood and His grace

The blood of Christ is not just any blood. It has an amazing power to heal, forgive, redeem and save us from evil. When we know, understand, and use that power in our lives, we truly comprehend His grace and the truth that we are children of the most high God. Therefore, this will lead us to bloom and flourish in Him, living a lifestyle that honors Him, and manifesting our true identity as kings, prophets, and priests of His Kingdom. That is why, as heirs, we can claim the riches and the benefits of the Kingdom of God, that already belongs to us.

The blood of Christ is available for you, with the purpose of cleansing you from all sin and all evil, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This wonderful blood has many benefits (read Isaiah 53:5), but what strikes me the most is that, by it, we were redeemed from the power of the devil. For this reason, it is important for us to confess our sins to God, repent, ask for forgiveness and continually cleanse ourselves and receive his forgiveness, all by the blood of Christ. Ephesians 1:7 says:

“In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace”.

Likewise, by the blood of Jesus, we are justified, that is, made holy and innocent, as if we had never sinned. Romans 5:9a says:

"since we have now been justified by his blood”.

The beauty of the blood of Christ is that it not only cleanses us from all sin but it also it takes away all the guilt from our minds. It is by the precious blood of Jesus that our conscience is clean from all guilt, shame, false identity, and sin, and it sets us free in spirit, mind, and soul in order for us to serve Him. Hebrews 9:14 says

“How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!

Satan wants you to live a life with guilt, all the time carrying shame, being and feeling defeated, believing that you are a slave, that you do not deserve a second chance, that no one loves you, and that not even God himself will use you again or forgive you. But, you know what? Christ Jesus was the perfect sacrifice that took all of your guilt, and today He is telling you: Enough is enough! I do not want you to blame yourself anymore, let go, forgive yourself, and forget your past.

The Father whispers to your heart: Behold, I am doing a new thing; It’s already happening. Don’t you see it? I will make a road in the desert, and rivers in the dry land. Isaiah 43:19

Failure is not the end of your story; on the contrary, it is the door to experiencing the restoring grace of the Father and beginning to flourish again in Him.

Reflection:

In your moment of intimacy with God, take a pencil and a piece of paper, begin to answer each of the following questions, and allow God, by his Holy Spirit, to whisper into your heart His answers for you.

• Which memory from the past have you held to that you know you must surrender once and for all to God?
• What do you know that Christ has already forgiven you for? You must release those feelings of guilt or shame that you are harboring.
• Which sin must you confess to God and let go of so that you can flourish in Him?
