A Time to Bloom!

DAY 6 OF 6

Blooming and bearing eternal fruit

The word "Grace" is used at least 108 times in the New Testament. We can infer that this word must be important to God. God's grace, can make us bloom again and bear eternal fruit. Ephesians 2:8 (GNT) says:

“For it is by God’s grace that we have been saved through faith. It is not the result of our own efforts, but God’s gift, so that no one can boast about it.”

When God sees a truly humble and repentant heart, He does not delay in pouring out his grace, and we are able to flourish again. He is the gardener of the vine and if something is not right in our inner being, He will prune every branch that does not bear fruit, so that we will be clean and bear more fruit. (Read John 15:1-8)

God chose for us to bear much fruit; His only purpose in our bearing fruit is that it can manifest in lives that need to know God as their Father, and their identity as His children. Jesus gives us the same instructions he gave his disciples: “Those who remain in me, and I in them will bear much fruit; for you can do nothing without me.” Not only does He tell us that we will produce much fruit, but also, what we ask for in His name will be granted. The best part is that we will give Glory to Him, our Father too; because in this we will show that we are His true disciples.

Do you see? He wasn’t talking about being just Christians and church members; He was saying: “you will truly be my brothers and my children”. Therefore, we show God that we are His true disciples when we decide to stop walking and acting as servants, and slaves. Because you have understood your true identity, you are a child of God and an heir of His riches in glory. The father is your gardener, and He is the only one who makes you bloom again. That is why, He is going to prune, and cut off all pride, arrogance, and selfishness. He will remove from your life everything that He did not plant, all the past mistakes, memories, and guilt that have hurt you. He wants to prune these things because these things prevented the nourishment of life in you.

When you pass to this new time of bearing fruit and flourishing in His presence, you will look back at the past only to testify to others what the grace of God has done in you and can do in them. The pain from the past no longer has the same effect on you because now you know your position: you are a child of God, no longer a slave from the past. Now you know that the blood of Christ has cleansed you for this new time in your spiritual life, a time where you will flourish and bear much fruit for His Glory. Now, what you need to do is to receive and believe that this is your new season of blooming and bear the fruits of the spirit. The moment has come for you to share with others what the grace of God did in you, and what it can do in them.

It’s your time to flourish and bear eternal fruit. This is the time to live and act as the children of God who reflect a life that no longer carries guilt, shame, condemnation or wounds from the past, because you have understood that you are a son of the Kingdom of God, and that by the blood of Christ you will transcend and bloom again.

Your life will no longer be the same, because you have allowed the Father to cause in you His blooming, and you will experience and manifest the true happiness that can be found in the Father’s heart.

That is why I say to you today: Your time to bloom again has started!

Reflection:

In your moment of intimacy with God, take a pencil and a piece of paper, begin to answer each of the following questions, and allow God, by his Holy Spirit, to whisper into your heart His answers for you.

  • In which areas of your life have you seen God’s favor and grace manifested?
  • In what ways has God been faithful in your life?
  • Can you believe, with me, that God will give you a double portion of what you think you lost?
