Have you ever misjudged someone? Maybe you heard what others were saying about a person and formed an opinion before you even met. Did that opinion affect the way you interacted with this person?

Just like we tend to have pre-judgments about others, there are a lot of misguided ideas about God. Some people picture God as angry and waiting for the perfect moment to strike down those who don't obey or that God doesn't care about what happens on earth.

So with all of these opinions, let's go right to the source! Jesus reveals to us the heart of God, which is full of grace. Not only that, but today's passage says Jesus is the truth of what God wants us to know. When we know Jesus, we get to experience the grace and truth of God.

When we look at Jesus, we see that God is pursuing us. God didn't stay distant from us, ignoring our pain and suffering. Jesus cared for everyone — the poor and the rich, the young and the old. He had no preference on who he came to serve. We may not know how to receive this kind of love, but that's who God is — and Jesus is proof of that love. The more you look to Jesus and study God's words, the more clarity you will gain as you grow spiritually.
