Do you think that Joseph and Mary knew what was going to happen in Jesus’ life? Mary knew He was going to be special because the angel who visited her told her. Maybe they had no idea He was going to grow up and, after some amazing miracles, be arrested and then crucified on a cross!

When we get to know the person of Jesus, we realize there is always more of Him to know. Some people may only know Jesus as the baby we celebrate at Christmas time and the man we talk about at Easter. There is so much more of Jesus!

Jesus didn’t stay as the baby we see on the front of our Christmas cards, He grew up! Just like you, Jesus was a toddler, then a young boy, then a teenager, and then an adult. He started His journey the same way we all start ours, but He didn’t stay there, he grew. We need to grow and get to know who Jesus really is. How do we do this? When we read God’s word, pray, and see the effect Jesus has in our lives and others' lives, we get to know Him more and more. We discover that Jesus is a friend, healer, Saviour, King of kings, the Way, the Truth, and the Life. The best part is there is ALWAYS more to know, we never stop discovering Jesus.
