Revival Generation

DAY 5 OF 8

OBEDIENCE is hearing the calling of God on your life and acting on it.

Often, the kingdom of God is expanded by one small step of obedience at a time. In following Jesus, our success is not in massive results (that’s up to Him); it’s in small acts of obedience.

A movement of God happens when the people of God start living in full obedience to their God.

Isaiah lived about 700 years before the birth of Christ. Isaiah 6 shares the story of his calling to obedience. In Isaiah’s vision, he described seeing seraphim, or angels (v. 2), worshiping the Lord. They sing over and over that He is holy (v. 3), which means “He is set apart.” Basically, there is no one else like this King. He really is the King of all kings.

In verse 5, Isaiah was confronted with his own sin. Being in the presence of the holiness of the Lord will draw our sin to the surface. Isaiah confessed his sin, and the King atoned for it (vv. 6-7).

Isaiah 6:8 is one of the most famous verses of the Bible. The King saves us to send us. The King called Isaiah to go to the people around Him, and he responded in obedience with, “YES!”

As a follower of Jesus, saying, “No, Lord. No, King,” does not work. The moment you said yes to Jesus at salvation, yes became the only answer you can ever give Him again.

When God’s people live a life of complete obedience, revival can be felt because schools, communities, and nations will be affected. The King has done the work to save you. Now, He is calling you to be sent and is asking if you are willing to go. Are you willing to obey and say yes?

About this Plan

Revival Generation

Our world is divided in almost every way imaginable—religion, politics, race, views on sexuality, and much more. It might not seem like the time is right for a movement of God. On the contrary, now is the perfect time for revival. Not the emotional, momentary type that comes and goes, but a revival that changes hearts. Can He do it again? Yes, He can!
