Revival Generation

DAY 7 OF 8

Passion is an intense conviction that drives you. It’s an internal feeling toward something or someone that is powerful enough to dictate your life and your desire to influence others toward the same conviction.

PASSION is more than activism or being cause-oriented. There is nothing wrong with being passionate about causes that serve and advocate for people made in God’s image. However, our ultimate passion shouldn’t be toward activism but toward the Lord Himself. Our goal as followers of Jesus isn’t only to meet the needs people have for today but also to introduce people to the One who can meet their needs for eternity.

There is so much to learn from this story in Mark 6. One of the first things Mark reveals is that Jesus had compassion on the crowd (Mark 6:34). Literally, the word compassion means “to suffer together.” It’s a passion for another person’s suffering that motivates you to help relieve that suffering. Jesus put His compassion into action with the ultimate purpose of pointing people to God.

What made this miracle so awesome was not the expanding of five loaves and two fish, but rather, who actually performed the miracle. A little bit in the hands of Jesus is better than a whole lot in our hands. Your life and passion in your own hands has value, because you’re made in the image of God. However, if through faith and obedience, you place your life and passion in the hands of Jesus—that changes everything. Now, it has eternal value and an eternal impact. Why? Because, Jesus knows what to do with your life and passion in His hands.

About this Plan

Revival Generation

Our world is divided in almost every way imaginable—religion, politics, race, views on sexuality, and much more. It might not seem like the time is right for a movement of God. On the contrary, now is the perfect time for revival. Not the emotional, momentary type that comes and goes, but a revival that changes hearts. Can He do it again? Yes, He can!
