Perfect Redemption: Easter Devotional for Kids

DAY 17 OF 20

Crucifixion

During the time of Jesus, people who did bad things were hung on crosses as punishment and left to die on those crosses. They would have their hands and feet tied to the cross or in some cases like Jesus, they would have their hands and feet nailed to the cross. It was very painful.

To think about the crucifixion of Jesus is very sad because Jesus was perfect and did not do anything bad, but because God loves us so much, and wants us to be with Him forever, He took all of the bad things that we had done, and put it on Jesus. Even though Jesus was sad about this, he obeyed God because he loved God so much and loved us as well! He suffered all of the punishment for our sins.

Although Jesus suffered so much, this story has a happy ending.
