Perfect Redemption: Easter Devotional for KidsSample
The Resurrection
Very early on Sunday morning, Mary and other women decided to visit Jesus’ tomb. They wanted to anoint His body with spices to prevent it from decay. As they got to the tomb, there was a great rumbling and shaking, and the angel of the Lord in white, shiny robes came down from heaven and rolled away the giant stone at the mouth of the tomb. The women got inside the tomb and saw that it was empty. “Where is Jesus' body?”, they asked. The angel answered, “Jesus is no longer here, He is risen like he said he would”.
Hurray! Jesus is alive, He is risen! The grave could not hold him down. Do you know that because Jesus resurrected, you have power over sin, satan and death? Yes! and you can now live forever. You would also resurrect like Christ one day and live forever with Him. Every child of God will. Are you a child of God? If not, all you need do is ask Jesus to come live in your heart.
