Take a BowSample
What’s your greatest weakness? In his letter to the Hebrews, Paul shares God's message in response to his weakness. Because of this message from God, Paul embraces weakness and pain in his life. This model can feel like a hard one to follow. Why would you be proud of your weaknesses in a world concerned with seeing your strengths? As Christ-followers, when we recognize that our weaknesses lead us to depend more on Jesus, His strength can be more present in our lives. This shifts our focus from thinking that we can get through life alone by focusing on our strengths to relying more on God and allowing the power of God to work through our vulnerabilities.
Like Paul, we can be humbled by realizing how helpless we are without God. Jesus promises that His grace, mercy, and kindness are more than enough for us. We were created to need Him, and He desires us to invite Him into the hardest parts of our lives.
Take a moment and bring all of yourself before God. Welcome Jesus into the weakest part of your life and ask for His constant and abundant grace. He loves you and wants you to trust in Him for everything!
