Dear Single Mom, You’re Doing Great! 10 Devotions of God’s Love Amid the ChaosSample

CELEBRATE THE LITTLE VICTORIES
Bedtime has come, and the kids are finally asleep. How much is left on your to-do list? I know that for me, mine was never . . .ever .. . done!
At the close of each day, it’s all too easy to be weighed down by a sense of defeat. The unchecked boxes on our to-do lists seem to mock us, reminding us of all the tasks left undone. We dwell on missed deadlines, forgotten obligations, and the nagging feeling that we have fallen short once again.
What if, Mama, instead of fixating on our shortcomings, we chose to celebrate our triumphs? What if we took a moment to acknowledge and appreciate all that we did accomplish this day, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant?
Maybe it was just a day where you kept the kids alive until bedtime. We’ve all been there! Did they eat? Are they clean? Do they still have a roof over their heads? Good job, Mama. Did you offer a word of encouragement to a friend or tackle a challenging task you’ve been putting off? Extra points!
While today might not have unfolded exactly as planned, God will not waste your efforts. Each victory, no matter how small, is a testament to your resilience and determination.
Remember: Tomorrow is a new day, ripe with fresh opportunities and challenges. For now, rest in the knowledge that God delights in your efforts, however imperfect they may seem. Your willingness to persevere, to love, and to serve brings glory to His name, even in the midst of life’s messy imperfections. So, celebrate your successes, Mama, however humble they may be! You are seen, valued, and cherished by the One who created you!
Lord, thank You for helping me throughout this day. I choose to focus on the victories You and I have won more than the challenges that weren’t resolved, and I look forward to a new day tomorrow! Amen.
