Whom Do You Seek - EasterSample

Have you experienced betrayal before? Have you felt the vulnerability, pain, and uncertainty caused by someone breaking your trust?
Betrayals can be one of the most embittering experiences in life. Jesus not only understands this and experiences this pain personally, but He sees it coming and how it would lead to His eventual death.
The Bible is filled with betrayals. But, not even the one Joseph (way back in Genesis!) experiences at the hands of his own brothers compares to this.
Thankfully, it is not the end of the story. A breakthrough is coming. Jesus is secure in God’s sending mission and will. He does not retaliate in the presence of Judas. Jesus trusts His Heavenly Father.
As disturbing as this betrayal is shaping up, even with the involvement of Satan himself, it will not stop God’s ultimate plan to save humanity through the cross and end evil for good on the last day.
Today, ponder this: As you think about Jesus’ prediction and how He processes His troubled heart in the face of betrayal, ask yourself this: If God, through Jesus' life and actions, could overcome the impact and tragedy of betrayal, how can He help you face or overcome challenges in your life today?

About this Plan

The bustling streets of Jerusalem, palm branches waving as a man rides upon a donkey. A final, intimate meal with friends. The heartbreaking betrayal and the gravity of a trial. Stand in silent awe at the foot of the cross, and finally, rejoice in the triumph of the empty tomb. Follow along as we medidate on Jesus' sacrifice and the profound hope of His resurrection.
