Artist Rise Up: Embrace Your Calling, Release God’s GlorySample

Many artists live trapped in cycles of striving—trying to earn success, prove their worth, or make things happen in their own strength. But God never called you to grind for approval. He called you to create from rest.
Proverbs 16:9 reminds us, “A man's heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.” You’re allowed to dream, plan, and prepare—but breakthrough comes from surrender, not self-effort.
When I was at my lowest—broke, exhausted, and out of ideas—God didn’t give me a strategy. He gave me an invitation: “Go home, lie on the floor, and worship Me.” That surrender became the doorway to provision, direction, and supernatural momentum.
Psalm 46:10 says, “Be still and know that I am God.” That stillness isn’t passive—it’s powerful. It means choosing to trust that God is working even when you can’t see it. That He’s leading even when it’s quiet. That He’s faithful, even when doors seem closed.
Jesus said, “Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). Rest isn’t inactivity—it’s intentional alignment. When you create from intimacy with God, you tap into His flow, not just your own effort.
Reflection Prompt:
Where are you striving in your creativity or calling? What would it look like to lay that down and partner with God instead? Write a prayer of surrender today.
