10 F-Words for the Faith-Driven Entrepreneur

DAY 1 OF 10

1. FAITH

Every entrepreneurial journey begins with a step of belief. You have to believe your idea matters, that your solution meets a real need, and that there’s a reason to keep going when others might walk away.

For the Faith-Driven Entrepreneur, this belief is rooted in something far deeper. It’s not just optimism or grit – it’s a faith that God has called you to build something meaningful.

But scaling that business isn’t for the faint of heart.

Growing your business will test your resilience, your patience, and your convictions. There will be seasons when the numbers don’t add up, when your plans fall apart, or when the next step isn’t clear.

This is where your faith in the calling that God has given you becomes essential. Your faith gives you a foundation to stand on when the market shifts and your confidence wavers. Your faith reassures you, saying, “God is still in this, even when I don’t see the full picture,” just like it did for the heroes of the faith in the Bible:

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” – Hebrews 11:1 NIV

Your faith is what keeps you showing up after a tough week, making hard decisions without certainty, and staying anchored when growth feels slow. It’s what your team looks for in your eyes during a crisis. They want to see that you still believe – not just in the business, but in the One who called you to build it.

And know this… you don’t need to have flawless faith. Jesus said that even faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains.

“If you have faith as small as a mustard seed… nothing will be impossible for you.” – Matthew 17:20 NIV

So.. if your belief feels small today, that’s okay. God can work with small beginnings, and you can grow it as you go. How? By nurturing it through prayer and quiet times:

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God… will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:6–7

By spending time in God’s Word:

“Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.” – Romans 10:17 NIV

And, through community and wise counsel:

“Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.” – Proverbs 15:22 NIV

So take time to grow your faith, just as you grow your business. As a Faith-Driven Entrepreneur, you want to be intentional about doing that.

In seasons of abundance and in drought, it is your faith that will be the fuel that carries you forward. It is your faith that will remind you that you are not alone in this work – that God is actively involved, shaping your journey, each step of the way.

Remember: faith isn't just a religious idea; it’s also a practical resource. Your faith is what allows you to take risks with integrity, to lead with courage, and to keep going when common sense says, “Quit.”

Without faith, you won’t scale your business as God wants. But with your faith, you will do much more than grow a business – you will change lives, building God’s Kingdom as you go.
