Go Into All the World

DAY 8 OF 9

Gifted to Give

What if your greatest impact wasn’t in what you said, but in the space you made for others?

Lydia’s story may only take up a few verses in Acts 16, but her legacy echoes through generations. She was a successful businesswoman, a dealer in purple cloth, meaning she was both influential and wealthy. But more than that, she was spiritually hungry.

When Paul arrived in Philippi, he didn’t find a synagogue. Instead, he found a group of women praying by the river. Lydia was there, open-hearted and ready. Acts 16:14 says, “The Lord opened her heart to respond to Paul’s message.” Immediately, she and her whole household were baptised.

But Lydia didn’t stop at belief. She invited Paul and his team into her home, using her space and resources to help plant what would become the first European church. That home became a launchpad for the gospel.

Lydia didn’t preach on a stage. She didn’t travel across nations. But her obedience made room for the Kingdom to grow.

We all have something to offer. Maybe it’s your home, your business, your time, or your encouragement. God isn’t asking for what you don’t have, just for what you’re willing to give.

Ask God today: “What have You placed in my hands that I can use for you?” Offer it back to him, whether it’s a space, a skill, or something simple. Let Him use it to bring others closer to Jesus.

About this Plan

Go Into All the World

Go Into All the World is a bold invitation for every believer to live Spirit-empowered and on mission. Through the stories of Philip, Barnabas, Timothy, Lydia, and others in Acts, we’ll discover that evangelism isn’t just for the few; it’s for all of us. God has given us the grace and power to share Jesus with our world, and now it’s our turn to say yes!
