Prayer Works - Vol. 1: Praying at All TimesSample

Day 2: But God!
In many communities, the phrase "but God" signifies a shift from a negative situation or circumstance that completely resulted in a much better outcome because God intervened. While the phrase may seem cliché to some, it is not for those whom have experienced God's divine intervention in their life.
God has undoubtedly intervened and completely changed my trajectory on numerous occasions - from loss to plenty and from despair to hope. Reflecting on these moments helps me reaffirm my belief that God's plans are better than mine. I believe He can completely alter our trajectories, no matter how bleak our situations may appear.
Thinking about this, I am reminded of the widow in 2 Kings 4:1-7, who went from being on the verge of losing her two sons to creditors to later being able to not only pay off her debts but to live off of what was left - with her sons!
Reflection: Think about a challenging situation in your life where you need a “But God” moment. Write a prayer, asking for God to intervene. Keep it in your prayer journal and see how God answers it!
