From Creation to CallingSample

Enthusiasm naturally leads to sharing. Think about how quickly we share funny memes and the best shows on Netflix; once we’ve experienced something cool, we’re eager for our friends to experience it too. Knowing Jesus is like that, times a million. We see a hurting and broken world, and we know there’s hope for it because we’ve experienced the amazing love of God ourselves. Once we’ve trusted Jesus and experienced the forgiveness of our sins and the promise of eternal life, we want others to experience it too. We want everyone to know the freedom and joy that comes with knowing God, starting now and stretching into eternity. Sharing in God’s mission isn’t just for pastors and full-time missionaries with theology degrees. It’s for anyone who knows God. That’s because knowing God should fill us with a passion for others to know Him too, in this life and the next.

Reflection Questions:

1. How can you increase your passion for seeing people come to know Jesus?

2. Why do you think it can be challenging to share Jesus with others? Does the fear of rejection hold you back? How might you overcome that fear?

3. Think about people in your life (family, school, teams, etc.) who don’t know Jesus. Take some time to pray for them and ask God to give you an opportunity to share the difference Jesus has made in your life.
