He Was Born For This - Preparing For Christmas Series #3Muestra

Messiah is the Servant of God
Thoughts on the Passage
What would you consider the perfect servant to look like? God’s perspective of this ideal servant looked like Isaiah 42:
- He would bring justice to the nations
- He will not get weary at walking in obedience to the command of God
- He will not draw attention to Himself
- He would treat the wounded and broken with gentleness and heal them
- The nations will trust Him to deliver God’s blessing and favor to them
This was Jesus. He was this amazing Servant of God. He delivered all these things. He teaches us how to be the same kind of servant to our world.
Time to Pray
Father, as I look at Jesus, I see why You love Him and His servant heart. Jesus served You with a perfect heart – He never got tired, never allowed the challenge to wear Him down, and the nations saw His work and put their trust in You. Jesus, as I watch Your work as a Servant of God, I ask how we can learn from You to serve God like that. You were born to be this amazing servant – and so are we. So help us I pray. In Jesus’ Name Amen.
