Superbook Easter Week Devotional

DAY 7 OF 7

He Is Risen - The Victory

Obedience is often the clearest sign of a changed heart. When we truly understand love, forgiveness, and grace, our response is transformation. What we believe begins to shape how we live.

Now imagine being one of Jesus’ disciples. For three years, you walked with Him, learned from Him, and witnessed His miracles. You believed He was the Messiah. Then you watched Him die on a cross.

The grief would have been overwhelming. The confusion is unbearable. It may have felt as though hope itself had died.

But then the tomb was empty.

Jesus rose from the grave.

The resurrection was not simply a miracle—it was victory. Victory over sin. Victory over death. Victory over fear.

Because He lives, everything changes.

In Second Epistle to the Corinthians 5:14–15, we are reminded that Christ’s love compels us. He died for all so that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and was raised again. The resurrection calls us to a new way of living—no longer centred on ourselves, but on Christ.

So how do we show that we belong to the risen King?

Epistle to the Ephesians 5:1–2 tells us to imitate God and walk in love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us. We reflect Jesus when we forgive instead of holding grudges, when we serve instead of demanding, when we choose kindness over pride, and when we love sacrificially.

There are people in our lives who need this hope. Friends. Family. Colleagues. Neighbours. What would you tell them?

The message is simple and powerful. Gospel of John 3:16 declares that God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. And the Epistle to the Romans 10:9 assures us that if we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved.

This is the victory of Easter:
The cross was not a defeat.
The grave was not the end.
Love has triumphed.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, thank You for the victory of the cross and the empty tomb. Because You live, help me live differently. Fill me with courage to walk in love and share the Good News of Your resurrection with others. Amen.
