For this reason shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife—and they shall become one flesh.

And the LORD God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone. I will make a helper compatible for him.”

Then the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

And Adam said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh. She shall be called Woman because she was taken out of Man.”

And God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it because on it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.

And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and they were not ashamed.
