Jesus answered, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to Me will never hunger, and whoever believes in Me will never thirst.

The Spirit gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words I speak to you are spirit and they are life.

Do not work for food that perishes, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on Him God the Father has placed His seal of approval.”

And it is the will of Him who sent Me that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.”

Jesus replied, “The work of God is this: to believe in the One He has sent.”

Everyone the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will never drive away.

Simon Peter replied, “Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of eternal life.

I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And this bread, which I will give for the life of the world, is My flesh.”

“No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day.

For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”

I am the bread of life.

Then Jesus took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed them to the disciples, and the disciples to those who were seated— and the fish— as much as they wanted. And when everyone was full, He said to His disciples, “Gather the pieces that are left over, so that nothing will be wasted.”

When they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus approaching the boat, walking on the sea — and they were terrified. But Jesus spoke up: “It is I; do not be afraid.”
